Backing Track
Backing Track is a term used to describe a musicians version of an original
music recording with the original lead vocal performance missing. These
can be used for learning a song or licensed for use in public performance.

Backing tracks downloading is the transmission of a digital file, generally as a MP3 or WMA file, from a website to a personal computer or portable player, commonly known as an MP3 player. You can then transfer these files to MP3 backing tracks players or compatible MP3 digital phones.

The format of digital files is generally MP3 or WMA. Singsongs.com provide digital downloads in MP3 format.
Download Times
The time required to download backing tracks to your computer will depend on the size of the file (i.e. is it a single or multiple track title) and the speed of your Internet connection or modem.
Typical download times for a 4 minute MP3 track of 3.5MB size are as follows:-

This is a Windows digital format allowing you to play backing tracks on your computer. Backing tracks in this format is played with the Windows Media Player. Not all other backing tracks players such as Itunes can play this format.
