New Album From Corinne Bailey Rae : 16th March 2010
Corinne Bailey Rae first emerged onto the pop scene with Put Your Records On, a classic pop tune that became the sound of summer 2006.
After selling almost four million copies of her eponymous debut album worldwide - reaching No 1 in the UK and No 4 in the US - the Leeds singer-songwriter found herself with a string of Grammy and Brit Award nominations.
Bailey Rae headlined at Glastonbury in 2007, and was considered one of the UK's most promising young musicians.
But her career was halted by the tragic death of her husband, Jason Rae, from an accidental overdose in 2008.
Bailey Rae, now 30, nervously began her comeback late last year, returning with a more raw, emotion-imbued sound than that of her breezy debut.
She has just launched her somewhat delayed second album, 'The Sea'.
The new songs have already won rave reviews after she performed them during a comeback gig in November and The Sea, which Bailey Rae also co-produced, has been widely tipped as one to watch in 2010.
Check out our backing track of her first single, 'I'd Do It All Again'.
